CoinmarketCap API Usage

I used the coinmarketcap api one time to put together a list of all the coin descriptions and use features such as the logo and then website, reddit, source code, etc...

I am storing all the information in a JSON file. In order to use the logo/ image hosted by coinmarketcap for a react native app published on the app store would I need to pay for a plan, or would this not be counting as using the API since I already put together a sheet of all the coins/ not sure how that works:
https://coinmarketcap.com/api/pricing/

export const coins = [ { urls: { website: ["https://bitcoin.org/"], technical_doc: ["https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf"], twitter: [], reddit: ["https://reddit.com/bitcoin"], message_board: ["https://bitcointalk.org"], announcement: [], chat: [], explorer: [ "https://blockchain.coinmarketcap.com/chain/bitcoin", "https://blockchain.info/", "https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/", "https://blockchair.com/bitcoin" ], source_code: ["https://github.com/bitcoin/"] }, logo: "https://s2.coinmarketcap.com/static/img/coins/64x64/1.png", id: 1, name: "Bitcoin", symbol: "BTC", slug: "bitcoin", description: 'Bitcoin (BTC) is a consensus network that enables a new payment system and a completely digital currency. Powered by its users, it is a peer to peer payment network that requires no central authority to operate. On October 31st, 2008, an individual or group of individuals operating under the pseudonym "Satoshi Nakamoto" published the Bitcoin Whitepaper and described it as: "a purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash, which would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution."', notice: null, date_added: "2013-04-28T00:00:00.000Z", tags: ["mineable"], platform: null, category: "coin" }],

Coinmarketcap should also remove "Message Board 2" linking to Bitcoin.com's forum

I guess few of us may have noticed that a Message Board 2 exists which links to Bitcoin.com's forum. If bitcoin.com was removed, this one should go away as well.

Why are 90% of crypto-currency groups/forums/message boards diehard loyal to Bitcoin BTC?

Great work on getting the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) name out there, guys! In Ver we trust!
I'm member of a lot of crypto groups. Virtually every group I'm a member of is crazy diehard loyal to Bitcoin BTC. They regularly post anti-Bitcoin Cash memes and there's a huge amount of hatred directed at BCH. Especially after this recent surge.
The framing of the argument is that Bitcoin Cash is the usurper fork that "shouldn't have happened" and that BCH is anti-Satoshi's original vision.
Now, I know that's not at all what Bitcoin Cash is about. I know that and you know that. But why are 90% of the active Bitcoiners out there anti-BCH? Who's running this narrative? And why is there so much hatred directed at BCH?

Sentiment, a message board which uses Bitcoin signatures for up-voting

The idea is that you can sign a message with a Bitcoin address which holds some bitcoins to give it more weight. Unlike normal internet polls, it is Sybil attack resistant in the sense that one cannot cast arbitrarily many votes. However, the more bitcoins one has, more votes he can cast. In Sentiment, votes are bitcoin-weighted, that is, more bitcoins you have, higher weight your vote has. So we can say that these votes reflect some sentiment in the Bitcoin community...
The idea isn't new. Sybil attack was recently mentioned in this thread, which prompted me to make a proof-of-concept over the weekend.
I need to warn about security implications, though. In theory, if ECDSA is secure (that is, it's not possible to recover a private key from signature(s)) and your wallet isn't flawed, there should be no implications at all. However, if there are attacks against ECDSA, or if your wallet is flawed, the more signatures you make with your keys the higher are the chances that somebody will recover your private key.
The concern is exactly the same as with address reuse. For example, in the past some wallets (IIRC blockchain.info) were hacked because they both reused addresses and relied on bad random number generators (and didn't use deterministic K). So if you reuse addresses this kind of a service will be no additional risk to you. If normally you don't, think twice if it's worth it.
And of course, it is probably a bad idea to bring a cold wallet online just to sign some stupid message.

The word "Bitcoin" doesn't appear anymore on ChangeTip's homepage or in tip confirmation messages. It used to be my favorite way of on-boarding new friends... now what?

It just looks like Venmo now... is there another social media tipping service that is EXPLICIT in its use of Bitcoin? Or am I missing a bigger-picture purpose here and I should be glad about this for some reason.

Heck, I would rather trust Karpeles, than Ashley Barr aka. "Adam Turner". At least in Karpeles' words there is no malice.

According to Karpeles, the problem stemmed from what's called a "transaction malleability," a software flaw that allowed people on the outside to manipulate the bitcoin transactions and steal money from the exchange. At first, he tells me, he had no idea how much bitcoin was missing, but the deeper he dug, the worse it became: By his estimate, $650 million in bitcoins were gone. "It really felt unreal," he recalls late one night in a subterranean Tokyo bar. "I don't know how to describe that. When you get a hospital operation without any anesthetic, it hurts at first, but at some point the pain reaches a point where you don't feel anything anymore."
High above the anime billboards and lights of Tokyo, Karpeles hid inside his apartment, terrified. Protesters had flown in from around the world to camp outside his office. Reporters loomed outside his home. He got death threats. "We need an organization to search and torture and kill Mark Karpeles," read one anonymous post on a bitcoin message board. "I didn't feel safe for my life," he tells me.
On February 28th, 2014, Karpeles filed for bankruptcy and held a press conference in Tokyo. As he stood before the cameras in his ill-fitting gray suit, his mind raced. "There were weaknesses in the system," he stammered. "I'm truly sorry to have caused inconvenience." He says he wanted to say more, that he was sorry for what happened, how "devastated" he felt. But instead he just bowed awkwardly in apology as the cameras flashed. "I tried to speak," he tells me, "but I didn't feel any words come out."
When I last saw Karpeles at his townhouse in May, he told me he suspected that perhaps someone within the company was the victim of a phishing attack, which allowed an outside hacker access to the Mt. Gox database. "I don't know if there was inside help or not," he says. "I still believe it's very likely someone from the outside coordinated the operation."

p2pool luck and block pruning?

I've been looking into running p2pool lately but was looking at the latest stats and the recent luck has me worried. I investigated, and found a couple messages on the Bitcoin message boards and reddit that worried me.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1097060.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1097636.0
https://www.reddit.com/bitcoinxt/comments/3jw2xy/alright_come_at_me_new_p2pool_xt_node/
In all cases people were told that running p2pool with pruning would probably work. This is not the case. The release notes for Bitocin 0.11 CLEARLY state:
For now, block pruning disables block relay. In the future, nodes with block pruning will at a minimum relay “new” blocks, meaning blocks that extend their active chain.
This means that all p2pool nodes running against a Bitcoin that has pruning enabled are NOT relaying any blocks to the network.
Could this be the reason p2pool luck is so low lately? A bunch of people running nodes with pruning enabled that don't relay blocks?

I think it's healthy for me (and everyone else) to realize that practically NOBODY outside of these message boards and financial markets are talking about/using/ or aware of Bitcoin

It just helps bring things into perspective for me. For example the Network only sees about 100,000 transactions a day. It's practically non-existent.
When it comes to DEVELOPED countries there's no real reason for the vast majority to use BTC right now.
That being said I think that narrative will change over the coming decade(s) as a younger, more tech oriented population grows up. That combined with stress on the traditional financial markets.
